After all the mess in Bangkok we had heard that all effort is taken for the film to resume shoot in Dubai and hit the cinemas at the earliest. However, some recent stories in major filmy websites are bothering fans and us alike.
Mid last month, we had read in some of the main stream websites like Galatta that Casanova would be Mohanlal’s Onam film for 2011 and the release date would be August 31. This was a welcome news for all of us here and we were even making a list of friends with whom to watch the very first show of Casanova. However, our celebrations were short lived.

Last week, this news from Oneindia was disappointing. The article goes on to explain that Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments has released an official statement stating that Casanova may not be released for this Onam. They would be bringing out Kunchacko Boban - Bhavana starer Dr. Love instead. Casanova is still in the shooting stage and would require more time for completion!
We could feel the unhappiness among fans in online forums and communities. Most of them, like us, had planned to spend their Onam with Lalettan - the Casanova. So when they heard this news, they simply poured out their feelings. But the mood of disappointment took a u-turn in many forums within a week; they started saying “It’s our Lalettan’s mega movie. We don’t want an average one. Take your time and give us the best“. Hope the message is loud and clear.
